PARENTS, KIDS AND EDUCATORS LOVE You TELL Me Stories!

“We liked how the emphasis was on HOW you read to your child, not necessarily WHAT you read to your child. Although content is important, the approach and presentation of the content is key. …

The Retell, Record and Share feature gives children the opportunity to practice their storytelling skills--an often overlooked and essential activity after reading with a child. Retelling and summarizing a story builds important skills such as recall/memory, clarity of thought and delivery, sequencing, speaking skills, vocabulary, and analysis.” – Academics’ Choice Awards

"I read with my 2½ and 6 year old daughters, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and they absolutely loved it. When we were reading the story together, sparks were going off with tons of ideas on how I could implement this with my own students." -- Lauren Turk, Speech and Language Pathologist, New York

RAVES!
“I’ve been creating stories for children for nearly 40 years, and highly recommend You TELL Me Stories.’ -- Arthur Yorinks, Children’s Book Writer, Caldecott Medal winner
“The stories are engaging and appealing. Every home, classroom and library serving preschool and primary grade children should have access to You TELL Me Stories.” -- Judith C. Hochman Ed.D., Windward Teacher Training Institute

ABOUT THE STORY
This classic story is retold: A curious mouse sets off on a journey and
runs into a sleeping lion that he accidentally wakes up from his nap. As the lion is about to eat the mouse, the mouse makes a promise to help the lion in return for his freedom, and narrowly escapes. Mouse later finds out about humans capturing the lion and chews through the ropes in order to set the jungle cat free. The mouse makes good on his promise and the lion learns of humility. The story teaches young children that if they demonstrate kindness to others, others will
demonstrate kindness back. The story also reinforces that when
trouble strikes, it is important to have friends.
